現在進行形 part3（否定文と疑問文）

次の文を否定文と疑問文、答えの文を書き、その意味も答えなさい。

(1) The students are studying in the classroom now.

(2) Hiroshi is using his computer.

(3) They are swimming in the pool now.

(4) My mother is cooking lunch in the kitchen.

(5) My sister is listening to music now.

解答・解説

次の文を否定文と疑問文、答えの文を書き、その意味も答えなさい。

(1) The students are studying in the classroom now.

現在進行形の文の形には慣れましたか？
今回は否定文・疑問文・答えの文の練習をしていきます。

ただ、そんなに難しいことはありません、というよりも全く難しくないと思います。

現在進行形の文では「be動詞」が使われています。このように「be動詞」が使われている文というのはこれからもでてきますが、

「be動詞が使われている文は全て同じルールです。」

つまり「This is a pen.」の否定文や疑問文、答え方の考え方が同じということです。では問題を解いていきましょう。

「The students are studying in the classroom now.」

この文を否定文にするには「be動詞」の「are」の後ろに「not」を入れれば完成です。

「The students are not studying in the classroom now.」
（その生徒達は今、教室で勉強していません）

次に疑問文ですが、これも今までと同じように考えるので、「be動詞」を主語の前に出してあげればOKです。

「Are the students studying in the classroom now?」
（その生徒達は今、教室で勉強していますか）

そして、最後は答え方です。これも今までと同じように考えます。
「Yes / No」の後ろには「主語+動詞」をつなげますが、この文の主語は「the students」ですから複数なので「they」に変えます。

「Yes, they are.」
（はい勉強しています）

「No, they aren't.」
（いいえ勉強していません）

どうですか、難しくはないでしょう。
次の問題からも同じように考えていけば簡単です。

（答えの文）「Yes, they are.」

　　　　　　 （いいえ勉強していません）

(2) Hiroshi is using his computer.

答えのときに「Hiroshi」は「he」に変えてあげます。
また、「is not」は「isn't」としてもまったく問題ありません。

正解）

（否定文）「Hiroshi is not using his computer.」
　　　　　 （ヒロシはコンピュータを使っていません）

（疑問文）「Is Hiroshi using his computer?」
　　　　　 （ヒロシはコンピュータを使っていますか）

（答えの文）「Yes, he is.」
　　　　　 （はい使っています）
　　　　　　　 「No, he isn't.」
　　　　　 （いいえ使っていません）

(3) They are swimming in the pool now.

正解）

（否定文）「They are not swimming in the pool now.」
　　　　　　（彼らは今、プールで泳いでいます）

（疑問文）「Are they swimming in the pool now?」
　　　　　 （彼らは今、プールで泳いでいますか）

（答えの文）「Yes, they are.」
　　　　　 （はい泳いでいます）
　　　　　　　 「No, they aren't.」
　　　　　 （いいえ泳いでいません）

(4) My mother is cooking lunch in the kitchen.

正解）

（否定文）「My mother is not cooking lunch in the kitchen.」
　　　　　　 （私の母は台所で昼食を作っていません）

（疑問文）「Is my mother cooking lunch in the kitchen?」
　　　　　　 （私の母は台所で昼食を作っていますか）

（答えの文）「Yes, she is.」
　　　　　　 （はい作っています）
　　　　　　　 「No, she isn't.」
　　　　　　 （いいえ作っていません）

(5) My sister is listening to music now.

正解）

（否定文）「My sister is not listening to music now.」
　　　　　　 （私の姉妹は今、音楽を聞いていません）

（疑問文）「Is my sister listening to music now?」
　　　　　　 （私の姉妹は今、音楽を聞いていますか）

（答えの文）「Yes, she is.」
　　　　　　 （はい聞いています）

　　　　　　 （いいえ聞いていません）

今回は現在進行形の「否定文」「疑問文」「答えの文」の練習をしました。これまでに習った知識で問題なく解けると思います。ただやはり練習をして慣れていかないといけません。

簡単だと油断をしないで問題集で練習をしましょうね。
